Cotton, Warner Urge Expeditious Consideration of John Ratcliffe’s Nomination to Lead CIA
WASHINGTON – Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas), and Senator Mark R. Warner (D-Virginia), Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, today released the following statement after the Senate Intelligence Committee voted 14-3 in favor on John Ratcliffe’s nomination for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency:
“This afternoon, the Senate Intelligence Committee voted in a bipartisan manner to report the nomination of John Ratcliffe to serve as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Our world is far too dangerous for any delay in having a Senate-confirmed leader in charge of the CIA. We urge expeditious consideration of this important nomination.”
