Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the Senate's vote on a bill expressing disapproval of the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule:
"The Waters of the United States rule is government overreach at its worst. For months, the Obama Administration solicited ‘feedback' from stakeholders for this rule, only to turn around and unveil the most broad, far-reaching regulation possible. They even went so far as to regulate mud puddles on Arkansas farmers' land. And they've refused to budge on any changes to these new regulations. The only way forward is to overturn this rule completely. I urge my colleagues in the House to pass this resolution immediately and send it to the President to sign."
