Cotton Statement on Passage of the National Defense Authorization Act

Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act:

"Tonight the Senate passed a defense bill that will ensure our military is prepared to address the wide range of threats we face. And it rightly includes several of my provisions, such as prohibiting China from participating in key military exercises, forbidding the federal government from buying any products from ZTE and Huawei, and modernizing our nuclear deterrent against Russia, that are urgently needed to deter our rivals' aggression. Now, we must work with our colleagues in the House to ensure we pass a final bill, as well as a defense appropriations bill, before the end of the fiscal year."
