Washington, D.C.— Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) tonight issued the following statement after the Senate voted 99-0 for his amendment affirming U.S. policy to prevent unfair, discriminatory action against Israel by the United Nations:
"Tonight, the Senate reaffirmed what so many already knew: the alliance between the United States and Israel is so strong because it's an alliance between the American people and the Israeli people. And the Senate unanimously affirmed that this alliance is stronger than partisan politics or personal grievances. My colleagues and I will continue to protect the critical relationship between the United States and Israel, which our enemies need to know."
