Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day:
"With great eloquence and even greater courage, Martin Luther King Jr. challenged our country to live up to our founding principles and recognize our fundamental equality before God. And so today we rededicate ourselves to continuing the work of Dr. King's life: of opening ‘the doors of opportunity to all of God's children,' regardless of race, color, or creed. It is a huge undertaking, one centuries in the making, but we take inspiration from the life of this one extraordinary man who did so much to make America truly the land of the free and the home of the brave."
