Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement after the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced new guidance to protect the conscience rights of healthcare workers and ensure states have flexibility to decide Medicaid program standards.
"No one should be forced to pay for or perform an abortion. I applaud HHS for going above and beyond to respect the rights of conscience."
