Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on Attorney General Jeff Sessions's decision to reverse an Obama era settlement payout policy:
"Using the power of government to force companies to pay special-interest groups with no special claim to compensation does severe harm to the rule of law. It's a shakedown by another name. I'm glad to see Attorney General Sessions end this deeply misguided practice."
