Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement after President Trump signed S. 2155, the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act, into law:

"This is a good day for the thousands of community banks and credit unions in Arkansas and across the country. For years they've been punished for a financial crisis they didn't cause, and now they'll be able to grow and create opportunity for all of us. I'm especially pleased this bill includes two provisions I offered-one to strengthen protections for homeowners from predatory lending, the other to clarify the rules surrounding real-estate loans. Chairman Crapo deserves much credit for writing a bipartisan, commonsense bill, and I'm glad to see the president sign it into law."
