Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on a new report confirming Iran has repeatedly violated UN resolution 2231 by providing missiles and other illegal arms to the Houthi rebels in Yemen:

"We knew Iran was untrustworthy, but this report provides more hard evidence of just how brazen it's become. The ayatollahs feel no compunction about lying to the rest of the world or violating their international commitments. And the Iran deal only served to reward them for their treachery. The administration is to be commended for drawing attention to the ayatollahs' duplicity, and this report should put the free world on notice: If Iran won't abide by its commitments, then we must hold it accountable."

UN Ambassador Nikki Haley's official remarks on the report can be read here.
