Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on President Trump's decision to withdraw the U.S. from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, citing the organization's anti-Israeli bias:
"The United States's withdrawal from UNESCO is long overdue. The organization has taken unilateral action to recognize a Palestinian state, which greatly damages the prospects for true peace in the region. It has also demonstrated a hostile bias against Israel for years. The way to change this organization is for the United States to no longer dignify it with our presence."
