Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on Senate passage of the National Defense Authorization Act:

"Now that the Senate has passed the NDAA, I'd urge the conference committee to hold a speedy deliberation and keep funding levels at those set by the Senate Armed Services Committee. The lack of readiness in our military has become stunningly apparent within the past year, as accidents have taken a greater toll on our troops than even combat. We owe it to our troops to get them the support they need-and they need it now."
