Cotton Statement on the Supreme Court's Ruling on the EPA's Limits on Mercury Pollution from Power Plants
Washington, D.C.—Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the Supreme Court's ruling on the Environmental Protection Agency's limits on mercury pollution from power plants:
"I am pleased the Supreme Court finally took steps to reign-in President Obama's Environmental Protection Agency. Regardless of the regulation, it's imperative its impact on Arkansas businesses and families is carefully considered. Regrettably, irresponsible overregulation has become a pattern in the Obama Administration and there are several other regulations that will also have a devastating impact on state economies across the country. I urge the administration to learn their lesson from today's ruling and withdraw its pending greenhouse gas regulation to ensure the full consideration of its cost."
