Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the release of a new bipartisan report and letter from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, outlining Edward Snowden's traitorous actions and urging President Obama not to pardon him:

"Edward Snowden is a traitor who is currently under the care, custody, and control of Russian security services. As the bipartisan House Intelligence Committee report makes clear, he is also a serial liar and an exaggerator, who didn't understand the programs he exposed. His disclosures of these lawful programs, which were fully briefed to both the Senate and House Intelligence Committees, has done irreparable harm to U.S. national security. Any thought to pardoning Edward Snowden should be immediately dismissed by President Obama, or anybody seeking to hold the office of the president. I congratulate my House colleagues on producing this bipartisan report and urge others to read their thoughtful work."
