Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the the Bureau of Economic Analysis' estimate that real GDP growth was only 1.2 percent in the second quarter of 2016:
"After eight years of higher taxes, endless regulations, and skyrocketing healthcare costs the chickens are apparently coming home to roost. Today's economic report illustrates what millions of hard-working Arkansans have known for years: our economy is at a frustrating standstill and President Obama is to blame. Americans literally cannot afford anymore of his liberal economic polies. We must change course and pursue pro-growth policies that create jobs and help Arkansas families."
