Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the detection of uranium at Iran's Parchin military complex:

"Despite Iran literally replacing layers of soil at the Parchin military complex, traces of uranium were still found at the secret nuclear research facility. Yet the Iranian ayatollahs still play dumb about their years-long pursuit of nuclear weapons. This raises serious questions. If the Iranians won't disclose the full scope of their nuclear program, how can we verify that it's been halted? If the Iranians are being dishonest now, how can we be sure that they won't cheat on the Iran deal going forward? And if the Obama administration is refusing to call Iran out for this flagrant cover-up attempt, how can we trust it to hold the Iranians accountable in the future?"
