Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on President Obama's remarks in Flint, Michigan:

"President Obama is absolutely correct that the responsible parties must be held accountable and that we must fix the mindset of neglect that caused the disaster in Flint. That is why it is imperative that we address the irresponsibility and lack of transparency at the EPA and why we should pass the EPA Accountability in Flint Act immediately. This bill will rightly ensure that victims in Flint can seek redress for damages caused by both the EPA's actions and failure to act. President Obama should take action to demonstrate his EPA doesn't tolerate this kind of negligence."
