Cotton Statement on Court Injunction Against WOTUS Rule
Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota's decision to grant a preliminary injunction against the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule:
"I applaud the Court's decision to block the EPA's Water of the United States rule. This rule brings unprecedented new regulations that will allow the EPA to dictate everything from when Arkansas farmers can plant, to how often they can run a tractor on their farm. Its devastating impact on our state cannot be overstated. I continue to oppose this rule and will closely monitor this case as it makes its way through the judicial process. And I will continue to fight back against the EPA's assault on rural America."
