"Though separated by an ocean and a continent, the Polish and American peoples have long shared a common love for liberty, and the fortitude required to defend it. In trying times, our countries have fought and died alongside each other to defend freedom. And on occasions like a free election, we stand together to celebrate it. I send heartfelt congratulations to the Polish people. Once again, through an open vote and the peaceful exchange of power, they have demonstrated the enduring strength of constitutional democracy and a free people."
