Cotton Statement on Pratt & Whitney Winning Engine Rear Turbine Cases Contract

Washington, D.C.- Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement congratulating Pratt & Whitney on winning an $11 million contract to manufacture Engine Rear Turbine Cases in Springdale, Arkansas:

"I applaud the Air Force's decision to award Pratt & Whitney this important contract, which will bring jobs and economic opportunity to Northwest Arkansas. Earlier this year I visited Pratt & Whitney and saw firsthand the extensive infrastructure they've put in place to facilitate this project. Between their efforts and the spirit of the Arkansas workforce, I know they will do an excellent job."

The total value of the contract is $11,347,140. Work will be performed in Springdale, Arkansas, and is expected to be complete by 2020.
