Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement on the administration's decision to blacklist several Chinese technology companies:

"I applaud the administration's decision to blacklist 28 additional Chinese entities, ensuring that sensitive American technology will no longer be used to build the Communist Party's dystopian surveillance state. Beijing must face economic consequences for its crimes against millions of Chinese ethnic and religious minorities. The United States must continue to stand up for all those suffering under the yoke of the Party's rule-from Xinjiang to Tibet to Hong Kong."
