Cotton Statement on Dispute over Open Skies Treaty

Washington, D.C. - Senator Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) today released the following statement after the U.S. refused to certify a Russian plane for the Open Skies Treaty:

"It's rich for Russia to protest this decision when it routinely restricts surveillance flights over Kaliningrad and other areas. The Open Skies Treaty is out of date and favors Russia, and the best way forward is to leave it. "
